Target groups: State and local government authorities, communal companies, environmental protecting agencies and organisations, science and research institutes, investors, project developers, consultants, planners, waste collecting, recycling, waste producers – proceeding industry, pharmacy, chemical, food, hospitals, technology and equipment providers, plant and landfill operators.
Background: According to data from the State Statistical Office of the North Macedonia, the total environmental protection spending in 2018 had biggest share on waste management – 64.2%. This year it was announced that among other priorities, 5-billion-euro capital investment cycle, will also be spent on investments in regional factories for collecting and the processing of waste, sewage and waterworks systems. Several projects are implemented, and more projects are available for investments.
Description and aim of the event: The aim of the event is to promote Waste investment in North Macedonia and neighboring Western Balkans countries, and to give best practice examples from most respected experts in Europe.
