|Target groups:||State and Local authorities, Academy community, Energy agencies, Electricity suppliers, Environmental agencies, Professional associations and chambers, Licensors, Banks, Private Investors, Lawyers, Insurance, Development agencies, Project developers and planners, Consulting, Plant manufacturers, Plant operators, Boiler manufacturers, Pellet producers, Pellet machinery producers, Electric services, Measuring instruments providers, Forestry and forest owners, Agriculture enterprises, Industry with organic by-products: sawmills, wood proceeding industry|
|Background:||Biomass is the overlay available natural resource in the Western Balkans countries.
The use of bioenergy, besides providing efficient waste disposal and energy production can improve environmental and economic standards.
Taking in account the forestry coverage of North Macedonia with addition of the bio-based waste from agriculture and animal manure, the market is at the beginning with installed capacity of 6.00KW.
According to the new RER regulatory framework the total capacity of 9.4MW is available for new investments, with guaranteed a purchase price of up to 2.5 Euro / 1KWh.
In addition to generating electricity, maximum efficiency can be achieved with building cogeneration plants and utilizing heat.
Bioenergy can be a great replacement of fossil fuels. This reduces the amount of greenhouse gases that cause the greenhouse effect.
